App State's Middleton signs with Jets

BOONE — Former App State safety Doug Middleton has signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent on April 30. Middleton said on Twitter that he has signed with the Jets following the end of the NFL draft. “God's timing is always perfect. Ready to go to work!!!! Blessed to be a New York Jet,” he tweeted. Middleton finished sixth on the Mountaineers in tackles with 53 this season. He did not have any interceptions, but had three pass breakups and a half-tackle for a loss of nine yards.
