Nash Inks with Broncos as Undrafted Free Agent

Courtesy: Duke Athletics DURHAM, N.C. – Former Duke wide receiver Anthony Nash has agreed to terms with the Denver Broncos to join the NFL organization as an undrafted free agent. Nash was a two-year starter who appeared in 34 career games with 16 starts. He registered 66 receptions for 920 yards (13.94) and three touchdowns during his career. He tallied two or more catches in 14 career games, including a personal-high eight receptions against Wake Forest in 2016. A product of West Chester, Pa., Nash was limited to only seven games of 2016 before suffering a career-ending collarbone injury at No. 7 Louisville on October 14. Prior to his injury, he tallied 29 receptions for 398 yards (13.72)

Appalachian State football players sign with NFL teams as undrafted free agents

No Appalachian State football players were picked on the final day of the seven-round NFL draft, but at least three Mountaineers have joined teams as undrafted free agents. Saturday's post-draft signings included outside linebacker Kennan Gilchrist to the Dallas Cowboys, offensive lineman Parker Collins to the Jacksonville Jaguars and safety Alex Gray to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On his Facebook page, Collins called it one of the biggest moments of his life. "Being an undrafted free agent is only going to be motivation," he wrote. Collins graduated from North Augusta High School in 2013 and played four seasons at Appalachian State. He became a starter at guard and later center by midway through his sophomore season. Collins earned All-Sun Belt Conference honors all three years as a starter apart of a potent Mountaineers rushing offense. Jeremy Clark goes to Jets in 6th round as Michigan breaks program record for NFL draft picks

The former Michigan cornerback was also denied a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA. However, neither was enough to prevent him from getting a shot at the NFL. Clark was drafted by the New York Jets with the 13th pick of the sixth round (No. 197 overall) in the draft on Saturday afternoon. Clark's selection gave Michigan 11 players picked in this year's draft, which set a new program record.
