Nash Inks with Broncos as Undrafted Free Agent

DURHAM, N.C. – Former Duke wide receiver Anthony Nash has agreed to terms with the Denver Broncos to join the NFL organization as an undrafted free agent.

Nash was a two-year starter who appeared in 34 career games with 16 starts. He registered 66 receptions for 920 yards (13.94) and three touchdowns during his career. He tallied two or more catches in 14 career games, including a personal-high eight receptions against Wake Forest in 2016.

A product of West Chester, Pa., Nash was limited to only seven games of 2016 before suffering a career-ending collarbone injury at No. 7 Louisville on October 14. Prior to his injury, he tallied 29 receptions for 398 yards (13.72) and two touchdowns. He hauled in four or more receptions in four weeks with a season-best eight grabs against Wake Forest. Nash also turned in 100-yard performances against the Demon Deacons (8-112) and at Notre Dame (6-123).

A key piece of Duke's 38-35 victory at Notre Dame, Nash hauled in two touchdown tosses and evened the contest against the Fighting Irish at 35-35 with 6:47 remaining with a career-long 64-yard touchdown catch. Both of Nash's TD grabs at Notre Dame covered 20 or more yards, tying for fourth in Duke history with two or more touchdown catches of 20 or more yards in a single game. Nash posted a team-high eight receptions for a squad-best 82 yards against Virginia and made a 56-yard reception versus Wake Forest.

Nash broke out as a junior, when he played in 11 games with nine starts. He had 32 receptions for 475 yards (14.84) and one touchdown. Within the league in 2015, he ranked tied for 33rd in receptions and 33rd in receiving yardage. Among the ACC receivers with 30 or more catches, Nash ranked ninth in yards per reception. He logged a pair of 100-yard games in consecutive weeks against Pittsburgh (5-101) and Virginia (5-104). His lone TD catch of the year came in the second overtime period during Duke's four OT victory at Virginia Tech. In a three-week stretch against Pittsburgh, Virginia and Wake Forest, Nash combined for 17 receptions for 263 yards (15.47).
