North Augusta native Parker Collins signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent after the conclusion of the NFL Draft on Saturday.
Collins graduated from North Augusta High School in 2013 and played four seasons at Appalachian State. He became a starter at guard and later center by midway through his sophomore season.
Collins earned All-Sun Belt Conference honors all three years as a starter apart of a potent Mountaineers rushing offense. He was apart of Appalachian State's first two bowl wins as an FBS program and was named to the All-Sun Belt Conference First Team as a senior.
A two-star recruit out of North Augusta High School, Collins helped the Yellow Jackets to a 9-4 regular season and a second-round playoff appearance as a senior in 2012. He earned All-State honors as a senior and All-Region honors twice.
Collins confirmed the signing on his Facebook account, which he reposted to his Twitter account, "I am happy to say I am going to be a Jacksonville Jaguar!!! Being an undrafted free agent is only going to be motivation!!"
